Marquette officer named ‘2023 Kiwanis Police Officer of the Year’ by local chapter
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) — An officer from the Marquette Police Department has been recognized as the 2023 Kiwanis Police Officer of the Year by a local chapter of the organization.
The Marquette City Police shared their officer Derek Griffin was recognized for the achievement recently at a breakfast held by the Kiwanis Club of Marquette.
About Griffin’s attributes, a spokesperson for the department said “Officer Griffin exhibits his professionalism, care and respect for our community every day. He exemplifies our commitment to the public servant mindset and represents our department at the highest level.”
