Mark Zuckerberg Gets Backlash Over Leaked Audio Ripping Elizabeth Warren
Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is getting some major dislikes from fans after leaked audio revealed him throwing shade at Senator Elizabeth Warren.
In over 2 hours of leaked audio, obtained by The Verge, Zuckerberg talked to Facebook employees about plans to sue Warren if she were to be elected President of the United States.
"You have someone like Elizabeth Warren thinks that the right answer is to break up the companies … I mean, if she gets elected president then I would bet that we will have a legal challenge, and I would bet that we will win the legal challenge," Zuckerberg can be heard saying during the Q&A sessions in July.

He admitted, "And does that still suck for us? Yeah. I mean, I don’t want to have a major lawsuit against our own government."
However, Zuckerberg is prepared for war and told employees, "I mean … It’s like, we care about our country, and want to work with our government and do good things. But look, at the end of the day, if someone’s going to try to threaten something that existential, you go to the mat and fight."
Warren has been extremely vocal about her disdain for Facebook's data collection practices and over their use as a platform for Russia's disinformation campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
On Twitter, users immediately reacted to the audio ... and not in Zuckerberg's favor.
"Mark Zuckerberg just decided to talk sh*t about Elizabeth Warren and I immediately went into my pocket and gave her some more money," one person wrote.
Another commented that, "Wall Street and Mark Zuckerberg don’t like Elizabeth Warren, which means I’m supporting the right person for president."
One person noted that, "It’s kind of sad. Even billions of dollars can’t buy Zuckerberg an interesting personality or melanin or friends."
Zuckerberg, who met with President Donald Trump last month to talk about internet regulation, also took a shot at his company's biggest rival, Twitter, about their impact in the political atmosphere.
“It’s why Twitter can’t do as good of a job as we can,” Zuckerberg told employees.
He added, “I mean, they face, qualitatively, the same types of issues. But they can’t put in the investment. Our investment on safety is bigger than the whole revenue of their company.”
Warren has already responded on Twitter, making it clear what she believes is the real thing that would "suck."
"What would really 'suck' is if we don’t fix a corrupt system that lets giant companies like Facebook engage in illegal anticompetitive practices, stomp on consumer privacy rights, and repeatedly fumble their responsibility to protect our democracy," she wrote.
