On the eve of May the Fourth, “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill said he christened President Joe Biden with a new nickname: Joe-bi-Wan Kenobi.

A reporter asked Hamill — who was a surprise guest at the White House press briefing on Friday after he met with Biden — whether the president brought up “Star Wars.”

“I called him 'Mr. President,' and he said, 'You can call me Joe.' And I said, 'Can I call you Joe-bi-Wan Kenobi?'” Hamill said, referring to the iconic Obi-Wan Kenobi character in the film franchise. “He liked that.”

The man known as Luke Skywalker also praised White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and called Biden the most successful president he’s seen in terms of legislation.

“I was honored to be asked to come to the White House to meet the president, the most legislative successful president in my lifetime,” Hamill said.

Hamill is a vocal supporter of Democrats and has not shied away from openly backing politicians in the past, such as on Wednesday, when he endorsed London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s reelection bid.
