Georgia Republican U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene will travel to Loveland on Sunday to support "Hillbilly Elegy" author and Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance.

Greene endorsed Vance in his bid for the Republican nomination to replace Sen. Rob Portman.

On Sunday, Greene and Vance will attend a meet-and-greet at the Landing Event Center in Loveland from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Greene, in a statement, called Vance a "conservative warrior."

"Our country is being taken over by an unholy alliance of leftwing radicals and corporate oligarchs who seek to undermine our God-given rights, destroy traditional American values and force us all to live under their woke authoritarianism," Greene said in the statement.

Greene has attracted controversy in the year since she took office.

The U.S. House removed Greene from her committee assignments in February 2021 for incendiary and conspiratorial social media posts, including support for the baseless QAnon conspiracy theory.

Twitter in January permanently blocked Greene for repeated violation of the platform's COVID-19 misinformation policy.

Vance is in a crowded Republican primary that includes former Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel, former Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken, Cleveland businessmen Bernie Moreno and Mike Gibbons and Ohio state Sen. Matt Dolan.
