If Yahoo's protracted revamp saga could use one thing, it's reality shows. Apparently, Marissa Mayer might agree: she recently contacted Ryan Seacrest's entertainment production company about "interesting business opportunities," All Things D reports.

Ryan Seacrest Productions is responsible for Shahs of Sunset and Keeping Up With the Kardashians, as well as radio shows and other mass media shenanigans, while Yahoo is responsible for news content, Flickr and your old email address.

Sources told All Things D that a deal between Mr. Seacrest and Yahoo would likely include original video content, although it's too early to know for sure. The tech giant is also working out a deal with Katie Couric for an interview show that would run on Yahoo's home page, All Things D reports.

News is great and all but we humbly submit our request for some sort of Real Housewives of Silicon Valley-esque, tech-oriented reality shitshow programming. Or perhaps Keeping Up With the Parkers, a docu-drama about everyone's favorite tech newlyweds. If neither of those works out, Betabeat will always be on hand to provide fanfic.
