Aside from feuding – and then kissing and making up – with Justin Bieber, Marilyn Manson has been busy being, well, Marilyn Manson by the sounds of things.

The iconic musician, who's currently touring, was recently interviewed by The Guardian's Alexis Petridis and as well as having a good old chinwag, Marilyn pulled a fake gun on the poor guy.

Petridis opens the interview weirdly enough, revealing that the room is "dark and cold" per Manson's requests, before casually recalling the moment he first met the singer.

"I have not been warned that Manson will be hiding behind his hotel room door, from where he will jump out – black-clad, in full slap – pointing a gun at the back of my neck," he writes.

"Not, it transpires, a real gun, but a realistic enough replica for me to greet him with a startled bark of, 'What the f**k do you think you're doing?' rather than the more traditional 'hello'."

Adding to the absurdity further, Petridis reveals that Manson then 'laughed', shook his hand and asked if 'he'd like a beer'. (Erm yes, probably.)

We're not sure if we'd love to interview Marilyn or are way too scared to.

I was invited to eat the young.

In other typically Manson-esque news, Marilyn – real name Brian Warner – recently teased a collaboration with Justin Bieber, now that they're over that whole T-shirt war.

Repeating a text conversation he'd had with Bieber, Manson recently told Howard Stern that he'd reassured Justin that they are "cool" now.

"People just made that shirt stuff into a fake feud. Let's turn it upside-down and f**k the press and do something together. It will be the best," he wrote.

And we thought 2017 couldn't get any weirder.
