Mariah Carey Needs How Many People to Help Her Put on Stilettos?

If you follow Mariah Carey’s Instagram feed you know her life is more glamorous than anyone on the planet. Exhibit A: her diamond-clad bubble bath. Exhibit B: her sexy yacht photoshoots. (You get the idea.) But we actually had no idea just how luxurious her lifestyle really was until we saw this sneak peek of her new show, Mariah’s World.

In a clip from Sunday’s series premiere episode (which you can see here), Carey is having some trouble getting into her strappy lace-up platforms. So what’s a girl to do? Get four people to do it for her! Yep, she enlisted her team to help her, with one assistant actually sitting on the floor to lace up the straps.

Even against Oprah Winfrey’s otherworldly advice, Carey doesn’t care that she needs assistance. “Oprah told me don’t let anyone think that you don’t know how to put your shoes on anymore,” Carey says in the clip. “The problem is these shoes are abusive. I can’t put them on alone. I’m not going to lie about it.

She also blames her team for always choosing fashion over function: “They always have to get so cute and then they can’t go on right.”
