March Madness: Spartans get bid to NCAA Tournament

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Spartans’ season isn’t over yet.

Michigan State men’s basketball got a bid to the NCAA Tournament, announced Sunday evening. The Spartans are a 9-seed in the West region, and open the tournament against 8-seed Mississippi State. They’ll play the first two rounds in Charlotte, North Carolina.

MSU went 10-10 in Big Ten play with one win in the conference tournament. The Spartans ultimately fell to No. 3 Purdue in the quarterfinals, 67-62.
