March 2024: Which local restaurants received a perfect health inspection score?

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Public Health inspected 622 locations in March, with a 12.9% rate of perfect scores for the month.

So far for 2024, the agency has issued perfect scores in 10% of its inspections. At the same time in 2023, it averaged 14.7% for perfect scores. However, it had completed 2,101 inspections by that time. As of April 1, APH has completed 1,975 inspections in 2024.

The following restaurants received perfect scores in March:

  • Poke House, located at 3652 Bee Caves Road, Austin

  • Poke Fit, located at 5145 N. FM 620 Road, Austin

  • West Pecan Coffee & Beer, located at 100 W. Pecan Street, Pflugerville

West Pecan Coffee & Beer came a point short of a perfect score on its last inspection. Poke House hit a 99 in March 2022, but otherwise has stayed at 95 or above since 2021, when APH made its dataset available.

The following chain restaurants also received perfect scores:

  • Panda Express, at 11521 N. FM 620 Road, Austin

  • Starbucks, at 516 W. Oltorf Street, Austin

  • McDonald’s, at 6503 S. I-35 Service Road NB, Austin

  • Wendy’s, at 10701 Research Boulevard, Austin

  • Taco Bell, at 9504 N. Lamar Boulevard, Austin

  • P. Terry’s Burger Stand, at 701 S. Capital of Texas Highway NB, West Lake Hills

The Travis County Jail and several area schools also received perfect health inspection scores from APH.
