While the Toronto Maple Leafs are officially no longer battling it out in the post-season, their minor league affiliate, the Toronto Marlies still are.

In the fifth game of their best-of-five series against the Utica Comets, Marlies netminder Garret Sparks made an unbelievable sprawling stop.

Sparks somehow got over to make the initial stop on Reid Boucher, and then even more incredibly robbed Cam Darcy on the doorstep with his bare hand.

The pair of blocks helped preserve a shutout for the Marlies’ puck stopper, who led Toronto to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Comets, advancing the team to the second round.

Sparks may have been inspired by former Penguins goalie Antti Niemi who made a save earlier this season with, of course, his bare hand.
