Manchester man suffers life-threatening injuries in Londonderry crash

Apr. 24—A Manchester man suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Interstate 93 Tuesday night, State Police said.

Justin Landry, 25, was driving a 2006 Infiniti G35 when it crashed on I-93 southbound in Londonderry shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A preliminary investigation shows Landry was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the Infiniti, State Police said. The vehicle traveled across all four lanes of the highway and down an embankment, where it hit multiple trees.

Londonderry fire personnel worked for approximately 90 minutes to free Landry — the only occupant of the car — from the vehicle for approximately 90 minutes, fire officials said.

"Due to the significance of entrapment," Londonderry fire officials requested Manchester Fire Rescue 1 respond to the scene.

Once freed, Landry was flown to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Mass., where he was listed in critical condition Wednesday with life-threatening injuries.

The southbound lanes of I-93 were closed for approximately one hour to allow the medical helicopter to land and take off.

The crash remains under investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call New Hampshire State Police at 603-223-4381.
