Man & woman from Anderson die in single-vehicle crash

MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. — Two people are dead after a single-vehicle crash in southwest Missouri, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Dane Paulson, 25, was driving northbound along Highway 59 in Ginger Blue when his vehicle left the right side of the road and struck a tree. The crash happened just after midnight on Monday.

Paulson’s 1985 Corvette was totaled. It’s air bags did not deploy, according to MSHP.

Paulson, the driver, and passenger Hevenlee Williams, 27, were both pronounced dead at the scene by the McDonald County Deputy Coroner around 1:16 a.m. They were transported from the site to the McDonald County Coroner’s Office.

Next of kin has been notified. This is Troop D’s 32nd and 33rd fatalities for 2024.
