KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A long-time Missouri Lottery player won a $1.3 million jackpot prize on a “Lotto” ticket he purchased at a QuikTrip in Blue Springs.

The winner purchased the “Lotto” ticket on April 17 at the QuikTrip at 705 Highway 40, in Blue Springs.

“I’ve been playing it since it came out,” the winner said. “But I’ve never won this much.”

He said he had been watching for the numbers when he picked up his phone to check the winning numbers from that night.

“I saw the numbers, and I didn’t believe it,” he said. “I called my son, who was downstairs, and he looked at it, and he said, ‘No, that can’t be right.’”

He was shocked to discover his ticket had matched all six numbers drawn: 1, 11, 24, 30, 31 and 41.

“I was wishing for four or five numbers, but to get all six? It’s fantastic!” he said.

The winner plans to pay off his house and also plans to have some fun with the money.

“I’m going to use some of it to buy a little sports car,” he said.
