Man wanted for robbing woman, stealing dog in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officials are working to identify a man accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint and stealing a pocket bulldog she was pet sitting.

Authorities reported the man broke into to woman’s Creekwood Drive apartment on March 5.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the victim arrived home and noticed the dog and crate were gone. She found the suspect in the kitchen as she began searching for the dog.

He pointed the gun into her stomach and demanded her purse, according to officials. He then ran out the front door and entered the backseat of a dark gray sedan with tinted windows. After that, the victim realized her rear glass door had been broken out.

The suspect was described by Metro police as a young, thin, Black man who wore all-black clothing.

The dog has reportedly been sold and detectives want to speak to the buyer.
