Man turns himself into police for fatal shooting outside club in Dumfries

DUMFRIES, Va. (DC News Now) — The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said the man involved in a fatal shooting outside Club Tempo turned himself in to police without incident Tuesday.

The suspect, 37-year-old Jonathan Middleton, of Stafford, was wanted for shooting and killing 38-year-old Carvell Williams, of Warrenton on March 23 just after 2 a.m.

Police said that the two men were outside the club on Possum Point Road in a parking lot when they got into a fight. That’s when Middleton shot Williams.

Williams was taken to a hospital where he died.

PWCPD said that the two men knew each other.

Middleton was charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to PWCPD. He was being held without bond.
