Man survives shooting after bullet hits his wallet on Long Island: police

CORAM, Long Island (PIX11) — A man walked away from being shot on Long Island on Wednesday after his wallet saved him from being hit by a bullet, according to police.

Suffolk County Police told PIX11 News that a person fired several shots into a car in Coram at the Homestead Village Apartment Complex around 11 a.m. A bullet became stuck in the wallet of a man who was inside the car.

The man was not injured, according to police.
