Man stabbed in the neck in Lower East Side subway station: NYPD

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was stabbed early Wednesday morning inside a Lower East Side subway station, according to the NYPD.

It happened at the Delancey Street-Essex Street subway station around 5:30 a.m. The man was stabbed in the neck and lower back after he and the suspect got into a fight, according to authorities.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.

Police describe the suspect as a man in a white hoodie, who fled to the street after the stabbing.
