Man stabbed in front of San Francisco church

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A person was stabbed in front of a church on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) said.

According to witnesses, a homeless man walked into Saint Peter & Paul Church and was removed by church members around 1 p.m. during a church service.

One of the members and the unhoused individual began an altercation. The altercation resulted in the churchgoer being stabbed, KRON4 confirmed.

A church worker says it scares him to know that the man was armed while inside the church.

“Now, we are just going to pray and see what happens,” the church worker said.
