Man stabbed to death in London knife attack in latest weekend of UK violence
A man has died after being stabbed in west London on Monday morning following another weekend of knife violence on the streets of Britain.
The victim, believed to be in his early 20s, was found injured on the street in Southall at about 4am.
He was discovered outside a shop on The Broadway, police said.
The man was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead at 5.26am.
The victim has not been formally identified and no arrests have yet been made.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Inquiries into how the victim sustained his injuries are ongoing."
It was just one of a number of knife attacks across the UK at the weekend. Earlier this month, a spate of stabbings pushed the London murder rate higher than it was last year.
On Sunday afternoon, three men were taken to hospital after being stabbed near Turnpike Lane Tube station on North London.
They were stabbed just after 4pm at Langham Road before being taken to hospital, where all three were said to be in non-life threatening conditions.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of GBH, police said.
In a separate attack on Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed on Kilburn High Road, north London, at about 7.10pm. He was taken to hospital and is said to be in a life-threatening condition.

On Friday evening, two men in their 20s were stabbed near Chalk Farm Tube station in north London. One was stabbed repeatedly and is feared to have suffered life-changing injuries.
A man in his 20s was murdered in nearby Camden earlier this month.
Teen murdered at skate park
Meanwhile, police investigating the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Slough have arrested a third boy on suspicion of murder.
At about 6.30pm on Saturday, a boy was stabbed in a skate park in Salt Hill Park.
Two 15-year-old boys have already been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody, Thames Valley Police said.
A third boy, aged 17, has also now been arrested on suspicion of murder and is also in police custody.
On Sunday afternoon, a post-mortem examination took place which has given the victim's cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
His next of kin has been informed and continue to receive support from specially trained officers. Formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit said: "We have now made three arrests as our murder investigation progresses.”
Stabbed and run over
Police are also investigating an incident in which a man was stabbed and run over in a Brighton street.
At 3.30am on Saturday the victim, 31, was in Norwich Drive in Bevendean, Brighton, when he was stabbed several times to the body and run over by a car which then drove away.
However, after receiving treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital he was discharged later the same day.
Detective Sergeant Sebastian Day said: "The victim is very fortunate that his injuries were not more serious.
"We are keen to speak to anybody who witnessed or heard the incident or who has any information relating to it.”

21 teenagers dead
There have now been 105 violent deaths so far in London this year, compared to 104 by the same point last year.
Up until May there were fewer homicides per month in 2019, but then in June there were 18 compared to six the previous year, and July there were 13 compared to six.
So far in 2019 there have been 38 victims aged under 25, not including the man who died in Southall on Monday, of whom 21 were teenagers.
In 2018 there had been 40 victims under 25, of whom 16 were teenagers, up to September 23.
