Man in skateboard dies after being hit by car in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) —  The Montgomery County Police Department said a man in a skateboard was killed after he was hit by a car in the early hours of Monday.

Police said that at about 12:00 a.m., they responded to the area of Veirs Mill Road and Monterrey Drive for the report of a pedestrian struck.

The man died there. The suspect left the scene.

Officials said they are looking for a possible 2009 white Acura TL that has damage to the front right corner, including a missing part of the bumper cover, a missing/broken headlight, fog light and parking light.

Police believe the car may also have damage to the windshield and/or window.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
