Man shot, left in ditch after altercation in Lakeland
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was found in a ditch suffering from a gunshot wound in Lakeland on Wednesday.
The Lakeland Police Office said officers found the 25-year-old victim around 11:37 a.m. in a ditch near Providence Road.

Police said the man was driving with another occupant in his car when they got into an altercation.
The vehicle stopped and the victim, the driver, ended up outside of the vehicle.
An unidentified person then drove away in the vehicle, striking a fence, before abandoning it a short distance away.
The victim was taken to Lakeland Regional Health where he is in stable condition, according to police.
Authorities said the occupants knew each other and the investigation is ongoing.
