Man shot, killed in southwest Charlotte was protecting his sister, mother says
A woman said that her son, Deshaun Moore, was shot and killed last weekend protecting one of his sisters.
“My son was awesome,” said Miss Moore, the victim’s mother. “He was a great guy. He looked out for everybody. He didn’t get into any trouble.”
Thomas Eugene Glover Jr., 23, followed Deshaun Moore and his sister in a car Sunday afternoon as they traveled down Billy Graham Parkway in southwest Charlotte, police said.

Glover pulled alongside their car and opened fire, striking Deshaun Moore, sources said.
Deshaun Moore later died from his injuries.
The suspect’s intended target was Deshaun Moore’s sister, and the violent crime unfolded in front of her.
“She is not well,” Miss Moore said. “She has taken this real, real hard. I am for now coping.”
Glover pulled a gun on Deshaun Moore’s sister on Sunday, police said.
Deshaun Moore was with his sister to protect her then and on the next day, he was killed in a brazen act of domestic violence.
Miss Moore said women who are in an abusive relationship should leave “the first time, never the second time. Never give a person a second time.”
Glover was charged with murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
