Man randomly slashed while buying MetroCard in Manhattan subway station: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man at a kiosk in a Manhattan subway station was randomly slashed in the face overnight Monday, according to the NYPD.

The victim was buying a MetroCard in the mezzanine of the 47th–50th Streets–Rockefeller Center station around 12:30 a.m. when he was slashed, police said. He was treated on the scene by EMS.

The suspect fled the station, according to authorities. The suspect is described as a male last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and brown pants, according to the NYPD.
