Man pleads Guilty to stealing merch, memorabilia from Augusta National Golf Club

(WJBF) – A man accused of stealing millions of dollars worth of merchandise and historical memorabilia from the Augusta National Golf Club has pleaded guilty.

39-year-old Richard Globensky made his initial court appearance in Federal Court in Chicago, Wednesday.

Documents state that Globensky, a former warehouse assistant for the Augusta National Golf Club, had been taking and transporting goods and merchandise beginning in or around 2009 and continuing until in or around 2022. He reportedly took items from the warehouse, and transported them to Florida for another party to sell and auction online.

Globensky allegedly made around $5 million from these sales.
