Man with neck bruising found in lobby of Manhattan building: sources

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) — A man with bruising around his neck was found by a family member in the lobby of a Manhattan building on Tuesday, according to law enforcement sources.

The relative called the police after discovering Andres Santiago, 22, in the lobby of an apartment building at 559 West 156 St. — less than a half-mile from his home — in Washington Heights at around 7:35 a.m., according to the NYPD and sources. Officers found the victim unconscious with a neck injury, police said.

Santiago was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, authorities said.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
