Man with multiple stab wounds found in Oxnard alley

A 22-year-old Oxnard man with multiple stab wounds was found Thursday night in an Oxnard alley.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing victim at 8:35 p.m. in the north alley of the 500 block of Cooper Road, according to the Oxnard Police Department. The area is in the La Colonia neighborhood.

Police found the injured man with wounds to his torso. He was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center where he had emergency surgery.

As of 1:30 p.m. Friday, the victim remained in critical condition, said Sgt. Scott Coe in an email.

No arrests had been made, Coe said, and the motive was still unclear.
