Man with knife arrested in Hutchinson, 1 person injured

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) — Police say one person was injured and another was threatened in downtown Hutchinson Thursday morning. A 26-year-old man is in custody.

Police were sent to 1st Avenue and Main Street to investigate a disturbance around 8:30 a.m. Officers found a man who had been cut. Another victim told officers about being threatened by a suspect with a knife during the same incident.

Police arrested a 26-year-old Hutchinson man on suspicion of attempted murder in the first degree and aggravated assault.

The man who was injured was taken to the hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
