Man kills woman, shoots man, himself at Lilburn shopping plaza, police say
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - A man reportedly shot and killed a woman before turning the gun on her new husband and himself at a shopping plaza along Lawrenceville Highway Saturday night.
A FOX 5 Atlanta viewer reported the heavy police presence at the Merchants Walk Plaza in Lilburn.
Lilburn police told FOX 5 the suspect entered the Tana Food Mart with a pistol, killed the 57-year-old woman and shot a 62-year-old man in the leg. The woman was pronounced dead.
Both men were rushed to Northside Gwinnett Hospital.
Police said the suspect was in critical condition.
Neither of the victims nor the suspect have been identified.
Police originally said they believed the woman may have been the ex-wife of the gunman and was currently married to the man who was shot in the leg. Family members told FOX 5 the woman was not married to either man. Police later said they were still working on figuring out how all the parties were related.
