Man killed, woman hurt in Salina crash

SALINA, Kan. KSNW) — A man is dead, and a woman is seriously hurt after a pickup truck struck a motorcycle. It happened shortly before 7 p.m. in the 600 block of South Broadway in Salina.

Salina police say a pickup truck driver was making a left turn out of the parking lot of a car wash when it struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle. That collision caused the motorcycle to veer into the center turn lane and slide into the back of a Dodge Neon.

The motorcycle rider, identified as 60-year-old Steven Moore of Salina, died at the scene. His 64-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
