Man killed in two-car crash on MLK Jr. Blvd. on Monday afternoon

A man was killed in a two-car crash in Central Southwest Baltimore on Monday afternoon.

Officers responded near the Poppleton, Heritage Crossing and University of Maryland neighborhoods around 1:55 p.m. and found a vehicle flipped over in the median between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and West Mulberry Street, Baltimore Police said.

A second vehicle with a driver and passenger was found in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard with severe front-end damage.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 58-year-old man, was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. The passenger was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the flipped vehicle was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
