Man killed in Riverdale Park; Prince George’s County police investigating

RIVERDALE PARK, Md. (DC News Now) — Police said that a 53-year-old man was killed in Riverdale Park on Wednesday afternoon.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said that officers with the Riverdale Park Police Department were called to the 5700 block of Riverdale Rd. around 5:20 p.m. for an unresponsive man.

Officers found 53-year-old Angel Martinez of Riverdale and took him to the hospital. He died there shortly afterward.

An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death a homicide.
