Sgt. Brian Bower, a department spokesperson, said officers responded to the area of 27th Avenue and Yorkshire Drive at about 1:20 p.m. A car was making a left turn from 27th Avenue onto Yorkshire Drive when another car traveling north struck the first vehicle's passenger side.

The man who was in the passenger's seat of the car that was hit was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Bower said neither of the drivers showed signs of impairment and an investigation into the incident remained ongoing.
