Man killed, 6-year-old injured in north St. Louis shooting

ST. LOUIS — A series of shootings has resulted in the death of a man and injuries to three children, including a six-year-old boy. No arrests have been made in connection with these incidents, which occurred in different areas of the city.

The most recent incident, a double shooting that turned into a homicide, occurred at a gas station and convenience store on the 8800 block of North Broadway in the Baden neighborhood. Police were called to the scene just after 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

South St. Louis arsonist caught on camera

A 35-year-old man and a six-year-old boy were shot. The man had gunshot wounds to his groin, leg, and arm. The child was suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was listed in critical condition.

Both were initially reported to be conscious and breathing, but the man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. It is unclear if the man and the boy were related.

Earlier, just after 10 p.m., police responded to another shooting downtown at Fourth and Lombard, where a 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg and transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

On Wednesday afternoon in the Carondelet neighborhood of South St. Louis, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the thigh. Police arrived at the scene on the 6100 block of Idaho at Fillmore around 3:40 p.m. He was conscious and breathing when an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital.
