Man injured after shooting at Lufkin intersection

LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) – A man was shot Tuesday night in Lufkin while reportedly sitting at a Lufkin intersection.

Officials said the shooting happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Lotus Lane and Hill Street where a man reported he was shot while riding in the back passenger seat of a car that was shot at by another car at the intersection.

He was flown to an out-of-town hospital for treatment, and as of late Tuesday night, was reported to be in stable condition.

The shooting remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Lufkin PD at 936-633-0356 or Crime Stoppers at 936-639-TIPS.
