Man hospitalized after shooting in Maple Heights

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Maple Heights Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 15100 block of Broadway Avenue just after 3:30 p.m., according to the Maple Heights Police Department.

When they got there, officers found a 20-year-old man who had been shot. He was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital.

According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle pulled up to the scene before the shooting and the victim got into an argument with someone inside the car.

Investigators say they walked to the back of the property, where the shooting happened.

There were no other reported injuries, police say.
