Man hit by flying glass bottles after sports event
Police are appealing for help in identifying a man in connection with an assault in Cheltenham.
Gloucestershire Police has released images from CCTV footage shortly after a man was assaulted in Bath Road at about 00:30 BST.
Bottles and drinks glasses were thrown by members of the public following the result of a sporting event, police said.
One of the items hit the victim, resulting in head injuries and a 19-year-old from Cheltenham has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
The victim was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to be assessed and has since been discharged.
Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images is asked to contact police.
