Man gets life in prison for sexually abusing child

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 56-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to a life term in prison for sexually abusing a girl over several years, starting when she was 6.

Arcadio Cuahtemoc Ceja was sentenced to 115 years and eight months to life in prison, court records show. He was found guilty this year of multiple counts related to sexual abuse of a minor.

Prosecutors say Ceja engaged in dozens of sexual acts with the victim. He has prior convictions in misdemeanor cases, including for drunken driving and spousal abuse.
