Man found shot multiple times at Murfreesboro home dies at hospital

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities have launched an investigation into a shooting that resulted in a man’s death in Murfreesboro Saturday morning.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD), just before 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, officers responded to a home in the 1100 block of E. Vine Street, where they found a 23-year-old man who had been shot multiple times on the back porch.

Officials reported the victim — whose identity has yet to be released — was brought to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police said a person of interest has been taken into custody, adding that charges could be pending in connection with this ongoing investigation by MPD’s Criminal Investigations Division.
