Man found fatally shot inside apartment building on South Side

CHICAGO — A man was found fatally shot inside an apartment building on the city’s South Side.

According to police, officers responded to a person shot just after midnight Tuesday in the 7900 block of South Rhodes Avenue.

Upon arrival, police located a man, between the ages of 18 and 25, in the rear stairway of the apartment complex with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
