Man found dead after overnight house fire in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man is dead after an overnight fire at a Kansas City home.
The fire started around 1:45 Wednesday morning near East 99th Street and Hillcrest Road, southeast of Bannister and Interstate 435, according to KCFD.

When firefighters searched the home, they found a 35-year-old man lying in a hallway, who died from the fire.
Police bomb and arson investigators are looking into the fire because of the death.
Firefighters said the man appeared to have lived alone. Investigators are trying to find out how this fire started.
