Man found dead inside car submerged in Manor creek, officials say

Emergency officials found the body of a man inside a vehicle submerged in a creek in Manor on Monday morning, a spokesman said.

The man has not yet been identified, said Trevor Stokes, a spokesman for Travis County Emergency Services District #2, also known as the Pflugerville Fire Department.

The ESD received a call at 8:43 a.m. about a collision at 18811 Cameron Road in Manor, Stokes said.

When firefighters arrived, they found a dead man on the passenger side of a car submerged in a creek, he said. He said the vehicle was found upside down.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident and did not respond to requests for comment on Monday afternoon.
