Man found dead along shore at Indiana Dunes State Park

CHESTERTON, Ind. — An investigation is underway after a man was found dead along the shore at Indiana Dunes State Park.

According to a Facebook post from the Town of Chesterton, authorities responded to a report of a potential body in the water just north of the Dunes Pavilion around 6:50 a.m. Sunday.

The man was found fully clothed on the shore in about a foot of water. His identity has not yet been released.

The Department of National Resources is investigating. No further information has been provided at this time.
