Man fatally shot in the Pocket, Sacramento police say

(FOX40.COM) — Residents in the northern area of the Pocket may see a heavy police presence due to a fatal shooting on Monday morning, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police say that a man died at an area hospital on Monday morning after being shot near an apartment complex along 43rd Ave.

At 2:45 a.m., police received reports of a man being shot in the 6200 block of Riverside Blvd.

Upon arriving on-scene police found a man with one gunshot wound and attempted life-saving measures at the scene before paramedics transported him to an area hospital.

Investigators are currently working two scenes in the area that they believe are connected to the shooting, the 600 block of Johnfer Way and the 6200 block of Riverside Blvd.

Police currently have no suspect information.
