Man faces life in prison for sexually abusing child

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 56-year-old Kern County man faces life in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing a girl over several years, beginning when she was 6, according to prosecutors.

Arcadio Cuahtemoc Ceja was found guilty Tuesday of multiple counts related to sexual abuse of a minor, according to the District Attorney’s Office. He faces 116 years and four months to life in prison at his sentencing next month.

Prosecutors say Ceja engaged in dozens of sexual acts with the victim. Court records show Ceja has prior convictions in misdemeanor cases, including for drunken driving and spousal abuse.
