Man dies week after hit-and-run crash in North Las Vegas

LAS EVGAS (KLAS) — A man is dead a week after he was hit by an unknown vehicle in North Las Vegas, police said.

On Tuesday, May 7 around 9:30 p.m., North Las Vegas police responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Losee Road and La Madre Way near Lone Mountain Road.

When officers arrived, they found a man, believed to be in his min 60s, who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle and suffering from injuries, police said.

Police said the man, for unknown reasons, was in a northbound lane on Losee Road when an unknown vehicle hit the man. The vehicle left the scene northbound on Losee Road before officers arrived, according to police.

Investigators were notified on Tuesday, May 14 that the man, identified as 63-year-old Eduardo Archila of Palestine, Texas, had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
