Man dies after stabbing in Sacramento, police say

(FOX40.COM) — A man died Thursday afternoon after he was stabbed in Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police said the stabbing happened around 4:30 p.m. near Traction Avenue and Colfax Street, which lies between El Camino Avenue and Arden Way.

Sac PD added another man was found near the scene with non-life-threatening injuries, but it is unclear what exactly caused his injuries.

Sacramento police officers said they were called to the scene on reports of a stabbing, and upon arrival, found a man with life-threatening stab wounds.

He was declared dead at the scene, police said.

“Homicide investigators have responded to take over the investigation. Detectives and crime scene investigators will be processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses,” the Sacramento Police Department said.

Police have not made any arrests nor have they released any suspect information.

The incident remains under investigation.
