Man dies after Friday afternoon crash

Oct. 21—An 87-year-old man died after a two-vehicle crash at 26th Street and Lovers Lane on Friday.

The accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. and involved two pickup trucks. Police said that both drivers were taken to Mosaic Life Care after the crash, but one of them was later pronounced dead.

The condition of the other driver, a 53-year-old man, is not currently known. There were no other passengers.

Police said there was no indication of speed, drugs or alcohol playing a factor in the accident.

This crash is still under investigation.
