Man dies in Franklin County motorcycle crash

ANTRIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — A motorcyclist has died after he was involved in a three-vehicle crash in Antrim Township, Franklin County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened around 8:22 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 on State Route 11, Molly Pitcher Highway.

Police say the motorcyclist was traveling southbound in the left lane of Molly Pitcher Highway when a southbound compact car attempted to switch lanes from the right lane to the left lane.

Police say the motorcycle then rear-ended the compact car and continued into the northbound lanes where the motorcyclist was hit by another car. The driver of the northbound vehicle was taken to the hospital.

Police say the motorcycle exited the road off the northbound shoulder and hit a utility pole.

According to police, the motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man from Greencastle, died from his injuries. Police say he was wearing a helmet.
