Man dies after being stabbed during fight with woman on West Side
CHICAGO — A man has died after being stabbed during a fight with a woman in the city’s Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
The stabbing happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Lotus Avenue.
According to police, a man and woman were in a verbal altercation that became physical inside an apartment. The man put both hands around the woman’s neck, when she removed a knife and stabbed him on the right side of the neck.
Police said the man fled the apartment and was transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, were he was later pronounced dead.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for bruising to the face and body.
Area Four Detectives are investigating the incident.
