Man who died in St. Francis motorcycle crash identified

A 27-year-old man died Wednesday night when his motorcycle crashed in St. Francis.

It happened around 6:20 p.m. near Crawford and Pennsylvania avenues.

Police identified the victim as Benjamin Maki, from Milwaukee.

Police said Maki lost control, struck the curb and a guide wire support for a utility pole.

He was not wearing a helmet. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.
